HISTORY

In 1938 Marcel De Clercq started growing begonia?s azalea indica?s in plain soil. 30 years later his son Luc joined the company to grow and commercialise azalea indica?s culitvated in pot.

In 1999 Luc began to force green azaleas into flowering.

Thanks to the passion, the know-how and the increasing sales of flowering azaleas, Belgian Extra Azalea was founded in 2004.

Bjorn, son of Luc, reinforced the "forcing" company in 2010.

In the year 2012 BEA consists of a 5000 m? big, fully automated greenhouse which produces high qualitative flowering azaleas every day of the season.
